Would you like to produce income of $80 – $237/hour?
If you primarily provide one-on-one tutoring services, you recognize that this is a labor intensive approach to student learning. You also realize that your per hour net profits are somewhat limited. The EXCEL Program’s courses are taught to small groups of students generally 4 – 12 students per class. The advantage of this approach is not only the benefits from the group interaction and opportunities for games and activities, but that net income per hour is dramatically higher than the one-on-one tutoring.
If your current focus is primarily on remedial work, The EXCEL Program’s courses will open
up new markets of clients seeking enrichment opportunities for their children. In most markets there are a number of well-known test-prep courses (SAT/ACT) offered primarily to older students (11th and 12th graders). You may currently be offering such courses. However, The EXCEL Program’s courses are specifically designed for younger students. If you offer SAT/ACT prep-courses, for example, our courses will serve as a natural feeder for your current offerings since we focus primarily on younger students (grades 4 – 7). Many parents realize the need to help their children improve study skills, reading comprehension and/or test-taking skills at an earlier age. The difficult transition from mostly self-contained classrooms in primary and elementary school to a very different model in the middle school grades causes many students to “hit the wall” academically. Our courses specifically address the needs of these students to help them develop the skills necessary to ease this transition and realize their full academic potential.
The EXCEL Program is pleased to provide you the opportunity to offer any of its turn-key courses. For specific course information see the Study-Wise® Course, Comprehension-Wise Course and Test-Prep Courses for the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Examination) or SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test). We have over 20 years experience invested in their development, are constantly researching the latest strategies, field testing them in the real world and passing them on to our school and business clients. You can be assured that the courses are easy to implement with detailed teacher-friendly lesson plans as well as games and activities that reinforce student learning and retention. Realizing that many of the courses are offered after the students have been in school for 6-7 hours, we intentionally make them fun for the students. We have also included the latest brain-compatible methods based on current research. In addition, we provide toll free telephone and email support whether you have questions pertaining to content, methods or marketing.

Neither. They are enrichment courses for groups of 4 – 12 students. The courses are primarily designed for students reading at or above grade level. | Q. |
When are the Study-Wise® and Comprehension-Wise Courses typically offered? |
| A. |
The scheduling is very flexible and each tutoring business arranges its own days, times and number of classes offered. For the past 20 years in Jacksonville, the courses have been offered four times during the year with multiple sections beginning in October and February as well as one set of courses in July and another in August. During the school year each class would be offered after school once a week for 10 – 12 weeks. During the summer months the classes meet Monday – Friday so that they are completed in one to two weeks to avoid conflicts with vacations, camps, etc.

| Q. |

| A. |
The seven week course typically meets one day a week for seven weeks in the fall so that it ends just before the dates the private school admission tests are administered.

| Q. |
Where are the courses typically offered? |
| A. |
If room allows you can offer the courses at your facilities. If you do not have room to accommodate a group of 4 – 12 students there are several options. Frequently schools are open to an on-campus offering by our business clients after school or as part of their summer enrichment program. In addition, the courses have been offered in classrooms at churches or community centers. These organizations may charge a nominal fee to cover utilities, etc. The courses have even been offered around a dining room table in one’s home.

Don’t just take it from us—Check out these comments from the owners of some of the tutoring businesses using the courses developed by The EXCEL Program:
"The course materials are the foundation of the program. The Teacher’s Manuals are easy to follow and extremely thorough. All materials are frequently updated to meet the needs and trends currently occurring in education and testing. Our instructors like the fact that the Teacher’s Manuals have the lesson plans, teacher answer keys to each student page, transparencies and background support articles.”

"The lessons are clear and easy to use effectively and with confidence. Everything you need to know is there, even background materials that are rich with information to help you become well-known in your area as an expert in the field of study-skills, reading comprehension or test-taking strategies.

"We have 10 years of experience using one of The EXCEL Program’s courses with excellent results. All of our students have responded positively to the course and achieved high goals. The course materials are excellent and very user-friendly. The courses have helped our students improve reading speed and comprehension while in the lower grades (5 – 7). As a result, by the time these students reach the upper grades (11–12), they have refined and honed these reading skills and strategies taught to the point where they demonstrate superior performance on the reading comprehension portion of the SAT Review Course offered through our business.”
